Show Notes

In this episode of Practice Dirty, I speak with Kecia Lee, a transformation life coach and Brainspotting practitioner. She helps people who are at a crossroads in their lives, explore their inner world when life simply isn’t working, and help them use their inner knowing to figure out what to do next. In this episode, we discuss:

  • How all women face Imposter Syndrome, self-doubt and self sabotage.
  • How decades of cultural conditioning have created our challenges in mindset and affect how we think.
  • How we learn to not listen to the voices in our head telling us we can’t achieve our goals.
  • How giving away your power takes a mental and spiritual toll.
  • When you make yourself small, it reinforces your negative beliefs about yourself.
  • How women need to challenge thoughts and beliefs - “Is what I’m thinking really true?”
  • The power of brainspotting, one of the fastest ways to process trauma and move on to the next step of your journey.
  • In order to move forward, you have to have an awareness of your patterns and be willing to change them.
  • Self-care isn’t rainbows and kittens, it is radical transformation.
  • Learning to put yourself first in order to serve and give requires integrity with yourself.
  • When you develop your ritual and routines, try many practices. But be fluid in learning how to find your center wherever you are.
  • How we’ve led away from ourselves, and we spend our lives trying to come to ourselves.
  • That we are not separate, we’re all connected; we’re made from the same stardust and chemical composition.
  • It’s time to stop criticizing yourself and others.
  • The relationship with yourself is the most important thing you’ll ever have.
  • Connection to yourself is the pathway to everything.
